Biomat offers Aminated Plates in various formats, ideal for binding peptides and other molecules through covalent bonds. The surface of these Amine Treated 96-Well Plates is manufactured with primary amines, facilitating covalent immobilization of compounds containing reactive groups such as amino, carboxyl, or thiol groups, using well-established homo- and heterobifunctional linkers.
This covalent immobilization can overcome some of the limitations connected with physical adsorption of the molecules to the surfaces such us small peptides (M.W. 1,000-5,000 Da) drugs, toxins or hormones and can provide an oriented immobilization of molecules in order to secure the integrity and accessibility of their specific sites (e.g. Fab-SH-antibody fragments, streptavidin, or nucleic acids).
Aminated 96-Well Plates are available in clear, white, and black polystyrene in Breakable Strip, Strip and Solid format. They are suitable for ELISA, Luminescence, Fluorescence, and Chemiluminescent assays.
- Amine Treated Surface: ideal for binding peptides and other molecules through covalent bonds.
- Low Fluorescence Polystyrene: Manufactured with pure high-quality polystyrene, minimizing background noise and improving optical clarity.
- Wells design: flat bottom.
- Multiple Formats: Available in breakable strip plates, non-breakable strip plates, and solid plates for flexibility in applications.
- Colors: Available in clear, white, and black. Customizable upper rim colors upon request.
- Reduced Crosstalk: White and black plates minimize well-to-well light scatter, improving signal accuracy in luminescence and fluorescence assays.
- Uniform Optical Properties: Clear plates are ideal for spectrophotometric readings and imaging, providing consistent and accurate light transmission.
- Automation-Compatible: Easily integrated with high-throughput automated systems for liquid handling, washing, and analysis.
- Alphanumeric Coding: For easy and accurate well identification during experiments.
- Recommended working volume: of 75 to 200 μl
- Unit: 5 plates in a transparent bag
- Minimum order: 10 plates
- Ready to use
- Plates Design:
- The mould design provides optical quality, important to reduce the background signal.
- The rim protects the external face of the bottom from scratches
- Improved Washing Efficiency: Radius-edged well bottoms enhance washing, reducing residual materials and improving assay consistency.
- Reduced Cross-Contamination: Designed to minimize the risk of cross-contamination between wells, ensuring precise sample isolation.
- Enhanced Imaging: The flat surface provides a clear focal plane, essential for high-quality imaging in microscopy, especially for fluorescence and phase-contrast analysis.
- Improved Mixing: The flat-bottom design facilitates better sample mixing, ensuring consistent results across assays.
- ISO 9001 Certified: Produced under strict quality protocols.
- Certificate of Quality: All lots are tested for uniformity and reproducibility and a certificate is released for every lot.
- SBS Standards: Designed for compatibility with automated processing systems, ensuring ease of use in high-throughput labs.
Biomat Amine Treated 96-Well Plates are offered in three formats to accommodate diverse laboratory needs:
- Amine Treated 96-Well Breakable Strip Plates: Composed of 12 breakable strips of 8 wells, these plates allow easy customization by breaking and repositioning strips or single wells as required.
- Amine Treated 96-Well Strip Plates: Designed with 12 strips of 8 wells on a rigid frame, preventing misorientation for consistent and accurate assays.
- Amine Treated 96-Well Solid Plates: Solid format designed for high-performance assays.
- ELISA Assays: For competitive and sandwich ELISA, detecting a wide range of targets such as steroid hormones and antibodies.
- Luminescence Assays (LIA): Optimized for high-sensitivity luminescence detection.
- Fluorescence Assays (FIA): Ensures strong signal detection with minimal interference.
- Chemiluminescent Assays (CLIA): Ideal for highly sensitive and quantitative analyses.

The surface of Amine Treated 96-Well Plates with primary amino groups promotes covalent immobilization of compounds containing reactive moieties such as amino, carboxyl or thiol groups via well-known homo-heterobifunctional linkers.
The covalent immobilization can overcome some of limitations connected with physical adsorption of the molecules to the surface such as:
- Small peptides (1,000-5,000 Da), drugs, toxins, or hormones which are bound weakly or not at all
- Oriented immobilization of molecules in order to secure the integrity and accessibility of their specific sites avoiding the risk of inhibition of these sites by casual physical adsorption for such molecules as Fab-SH-antibody fragments, streptavidin, polysaccharides or nucleic acid (single strand or double strand)
- Enhanced storage stability by reducing the risk of desorption compared to physical adsorption methods.
